CLIENT CONTACT

Either the potential client reaches out asking if their brand can be used in images, or I contact brands as I need update accessories and apparel for my stock images.

02.

CLIENT SUPPLIES PRODUCT

The client then supplies product with or without a brief on their possible requirements without any promises to purchase or for me to present images. Often the product is given and not returned, to be used in future shoots.

03.

IMAGE PRESENTATION

I supply a selection of first choice images for purchase. The client can buy a usage license based on requirements, exclusive or non-exclusive.

The other images are sold as stock images to other clients and for editorial.

SONY UK

Sony approached Fall-Line ski magazine to get their new audio product in action images of skiing and snowboarding.

On warm sunny days without jackets we used the products and got some nice images over several days.

Sony were happy and purchased advertising rights. They would have been lucky to have got such images with a commissioned shoot that would have had a fixed shoot date because they could not guarantee the best weather conditions.

BURTON SNOWBOARDS

I was approached by Burton to get action shots with their product from which they purchased a selection for advertising and brochures.

By leaving snowboards with me for the winter season it ensured we got a good selection of images to present.

LOWE ALPINE

We were supplied numerous Lowe Alpine backpacks throughout the year to use as accessories in our outdoor sports images for stock and editorial.

Images were then presented each season for purchase by Lowe Alpine for their own use.

SKIS DYNASTAR

Right at the beginning of my career I was using Dynastar products in my photography as worked for the Europa Sport – the UK importer at the time.. With Dynastar being based in Sallanches it was then easy to produce images directly for the brand. I went on to do the original campaigns for the Vertical ski.

TSL

Good example of speculative shooting with client’s products. TSL supplied snow shoes and poles with a list of types of images their marketing department where missing.

I got the both shots for them which they purchased for brochures, web site, point of sale plus images for stock to sell on again, keeping TSL happy as their brand also featured in the images used by other clients.

PHOENIX MOUNTAINEERING

One of the first brands I worked with for skiwear and later for outdoor and tents.

They supplied apparel for the winter season and bought from a selection of images at the end of the season.

Meanwhile their brand was included in images sold to tour operators and eor editorial.

EVF SKIWEAR

To launch a new skiwear brand EVF could not risk getting bad weather for a commissioned shoot and so sent us product to use for a period in order to get the best possible images for their catalogue.

PATAGONIA

The brand came to me to supply product after I had submitted images of athletes wearing their brand.

It was a proud moment to get a photo in the Patagonia catalogue.

VARIOUS

I have worked with a lot of clients this way from Nike with ACG product to Millet, to Swatch watches.

Here are sample images used by Tissot watches, Degre 7 skiwear, Skila, and Spyder.

Other clients include: Dynamic Skis, K2 ski, Rossignol skis, SOS, among many others.
